Kazimierz

Kazimierz is the former Jewish district of Krakow, which has now become the centre of social life. Even though new cafés, restaurants and pubs are being opened here almost daily, it has preserved its historic buildings and the unique atmosphere.

Kazimierz had been an independent city for several centuries after the 14th century. At the end of the 18th century, during the Four Years’ Sejm, a decision was made to include it in Krakow. Inhabited mainly by the Jewish population, it was deserted and severely neglected after the Second World War. However, it has been blossoming again in recent years, being a lively district of cafes, restaurants and clubs. Our modern and comfortable apartments offer accommodation in Krakow’s Kazimierz.

Impressive places of historical interest are hidden in the labyrinth of charming small streets. These include old synagogues (Stara, Tempel, Kupa and Remu) and one of the oldest Jewish cemeteries in Europe. The Na Skałce Church and the Crypt of the Meritorious are also worth visiting, just like Plac Wolnica with the former town hall building, where the Ethnographic Museum is currently located.

Kazimierz is a district that you absolutely should not forget about during your visit to Krakow! And Lemir apartments in Krakow is a great idea for accommodation in this part of the city.
